Sandwich Farmers Market Vendor Guidelines

January 2026

The purpose of the Sandwich Farmers’ Market is:

  • To provide and promote access to local agriculture and craftspeople in the Town of Sandwich & neighboring communities;

  • To encourage healthy, wholesome foods and sustainable lifestyles within the community of Sandwich, NH and beyond; 

  • Contribute to a supportive thriving local economy

Application & Fees

  • Prospective vendors must fill out an application, which can be found here.

  • Vendor acceptance is based on local proximity to the market, with preference given to more local vendors, as well as product availability at the market. 

  • Members will pay a $20 booth  fee each week. Payment is due at the info tent at the end of each market.

Guidelines for Vendors

  • Market days are every Wednesday, starting June 3rd, 2026 and ending September 23rd, 2026. 

  • Market hours are 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Market is held on the Village Green.

  • Set-up begins at 2 p.m., please do not begin setting up before that time. 

  • Vendors should plan to stay until closing time or until sold out.

  • The Market is open rain or shine, however it may be cancelled in the event of hazardous weather conditions.

  • Vendors are required to supply their own tables and tents. All tents must be securely weighted with at least 20 lbs per leg. 

  • Each vendor is responsible for having their space clean of all materials, organic or not, when they leave.

  • All vendors are expected to maintain a friendly, welcoming & positive attitude when at the market.

  • No sales may be made before 3PM.

Guidelines for Products

  • All prices must be clearly posted.

  • Products grown, produced or made by the vendor must make up at least 75% of products being sold, unless approved by market organizers. All items not produced, made or grown by the vendor must be clearly labeled as such. 

  • All prepared foods must have ingredients clearly listed.

  • Any products being sold must be produced in the State of NH, or within a 60 mile radius of Sandwich, unless approved by market organizers.

  • Products must be of high quality. Products must be cleaned and presented with consideration of food safety and hygiene.

General Market Rules & Regulations

  • Vendors are responsible for complying with all State and Federal regulations that apply to their specific products.  If you have questions about regulations for your products, check out this Farmers Market Product Checklist.

  • The Market is not responsible for any vendor or products which are not properly labeled, inspected or certified.

  • Vendors selling by weight must provide their own certified scales, with annual inspection of the scales.

  • The Farmer’s Market does not provide insurance for vendors. If you or your business carry liability insurance, we ask that you send a certificate of insurance to sandwichnhfarmersmarket@gmail.com. Certificates of Insurance may be addressed to: 148 Wentworth Hill, Sandwich NH 03227

Attendance & Cancellation Policy

  • Please plan to attend all markets according to your stated attendance commitment. Consistent vendor participation is essential to the success of the market. Customers rely on a dependable lineup of vendors each week, and fellow vendors are counting on one another to help create a vibrant, well-supported market experience.

  • If you are confirmed for a market date but do not show up without giving at least 72 hours notice, you will still be responsible for paying the $20 vendor fee. This is because the Market Team invests time and resources in preparing for each vendor including website updates, social media promotion, and layout planning. 

  • We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. If you need to cancel, please email sandwichnhfarmersmarket@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can adjust accordingly.
